Innovation, a creative re-modification of the past with a new idea, device, or method, always changes the course of history. Businesses that solve real problems with brilliant and highly applaudable methods trigger unprecedented growth for themselves. While some others take advantage of the disorganised ways people do things, and so, consolidate them by creating a platform that makes a large number of lives better and a lot more easier.

These innovative traits can be found in two small businesses I observed. They’re both exciting and solving problems people and organisations face everyday. The first doesn’t directly solve an individual problem, but rather brings the solutions together. While the second solves a problem most businesses experience in setting up their workplace.

Here are the excerpts on these two amazing small businesses:

1). QuickZap:

QuickZap App By WellSoft
Source: play.google.com

This simple but amazing app was built by Wellsoft; a small business owned by a 23 year old tech entrepreneur, Fanimokun Busayo. What it does is simple! “It lets you recharge your mobile phone without an internet connection”!!

Amazing right?!!!

Busayo took advantage of the offline recharge services offered by banks to create a free and amazing app that makes the process far more easier. No matter what bank or phone number you use, all you need to do is to download the QuickZap app and anytime you need airtime, select your bank and simply recharge your phone with whatever amount you want.

You can even send airtime to your loved ones all without an internet connection!

This app is absolutely free and easy to use. I’ve used it to great lengths and have built a personal connection with it because it works like a charm. This is one app every Nigerian definitely needs on their mobile phones.

2). NetPremise:

This brilliant product was created by VNTS, an innovative business founded and built by Henry Obinugwu.

What does the NetPremise do?

It simply transmits high speed data across any office building without having to install any new cables. This doesn’t just improve network efficiency, but minimises downtimes when setting up the network structure of an organisation. It will save every business up to 65% of the cost and 90% of the setup time.

With this solution, no existing or new organisation would have to spend ridiculous amounts of money and time in trying to setup the cabling in their office environments.

To Sum It Up

These two startups are actively focused on two things: solving a problem people and organisations already experience, and making their lives a whole lot easier. With their solutions, they can help make many individuals and organisations have to worry less on recharging their mobile phones, whether they have an internet connection or not, and reduce the amount of time and money they’d spend on setting up trunks around their offices; which do nothing but ruin the look of the office walls.

Moving Forward

Over the course of 2017, I’ll feature several small businesses solving problems people face everyday with amazing solutions. If you believe your small business falls in this category, send me an email at [email protected] about your business and a link to your website. If your business is amazing, I’ll write about it so the small business community and potential investors can hear and know about what you’re doing.
